Each year we always hear about the most popular baby names of the year, but what about the most popular ones from decades ago. Last year Emma and Liam were the most common ones given to newborns but what about in 1940. I found a list of the top baby name from each decade going back to 1900. Let's take a look.

Pretty interesting isn't it. Crazy how long Mary was the most popular girls name, eh! For me personally the top names make sense because people my age were born in the 70's and 80's and I've met plenty of Jennifer's and Michael's over the years. Heck, I've even got cousins with those names!
