The proposal would include a Board of Directors featuring six accommodators as well as five representatives from the rest of the tourism sector.

The Board will manage the AHRT and work with Penticton & Wine Country Tourism staff to set the direction for tourism in the city.

During Monday's PHA meeting the association elected six directors from amongst its membership to sit on the new board.

The directors include:

Amy Xu -Granada Inn

Ed Brown -Shoreline Resort

The five remaining members of the board will be drawn from the greater tourism community in the coming weeks.

The new model will be presented to Penticton city council on Monday March 19th at the regular council meeting.
