A motorcycle driver was sent to hospital Monday afternoon with life threatening injuries after they collided with a car at Highway 97 near the Sun Leisure mobile home park.

RCMP Cpl Bryce Petersen says the Honda motorcycle was traveling westbound on Skaha Lake Road and collided with the small blue Pontiac car as it was pulling out from a side street.

Petersen says alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash but speed and driving behavior are being considered.

Police are investigating and are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact the South Okanagan Traffic Services at 250-499-2250.
