Wolanski Begins Preliminary Hearing
7/17/2012
The preliminary hearing for the 20 year old man charged in the stabbing death of a youth at a grad party last June opened Monday in Penticton provincial court.
Jamie Wolanski faces second degree murder charges in connection with the death of 16 year old Andrew McAdam.
McAdam was stabbed during a grad party known as "sunset" in the upper Carmi area June 17th, 2011.
The hearing is scheduled to last two weeks but it could be wrapped up in five days depending on the length of testimony from each witness.
Wolanski has been in police custody since being arrested in early June for allegedly breaking his bail conditions.
He was also recently convicted of assaulting a peace officer in an unrelated house party at his parents home in February 2011.
