The drunk driver who killed a 32 year old Alberta man in a horrific car crash in Penticton last summer has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

73 year old Frank Tamok of Olalla crashed into a number of vehicles at the Channel Parkway and Skaha Lake Road on July 3, 2011 then took off westbound at speeds nearing 100 km/hr.

Tamok's vehicle ran through a red light at Airport Road and side swiped a GMC Jimmy which then flipped killing Bradley Lentz of Devon, Alberta.

Tamok was given credit for the 382 days he has already served since the accident, he has almost seven years remaining on his sentence.
