A high risk sex offender has been sentenced to a four month jail sentence after asking a teenage girl if he could pet her horse.

Phillipe Poisson breached the conditions of his probation by communicating with the 14 year old girl outside the general store in Kaleden on January 7th.

The 20 year old, who had been in custody since April 10th, was given single credit for time served on Wednesday.

Poisson moved to Penticton in 2010 from the US where he was convicted at the age of 11 of indecent assault on a young male.
