Vernon RCMP are investigating a child luring incident that occurred over the weekend.

An 11 year old boy was  walking with friends on Blackcomb Way off Silver Star Road on Saturday when he as approached by a man and woman in a white Toyota van.

The youth says the couple tried to lure him into the van by offer him some candy, but he refused.

RCMP are now looking for the couple who are said to be in their forties.

Police encourage parents whose children are approached by a stranger to report it ti them immediately.
