Boundary Similkameen MLA to Run in Next Election

10/2/2012

Boundary Similkameen MLA John Slater has unofficially announced that he will run again in the next election.

Slater, who addressed attendees at the Festival of the Grape in Oliver on Sunday said he wanted to wait until the end of September before making the announcement.

Slater says he will make the announcement official along with the BC Liberal Riding Association later this week.

Slater sparked speculation earlier this summer when he said in an interview he has yet to decide if he would continue his career in politics.

Slater was elected to MLA in 2009, prior to the election he was mayor of Osoyoos.
