Flooding Victims Must Submit Updates by End of October
Property owners in the Tulameen area west of Princeton have only a couple more weeks to get their flood claims in to BC Assessment.
Deputy Assessor Tracy Wall says all claims from this year's flooding needs to be in by October 31st.
"We will be delivering their assessment notices in the first week of January but we would like to talk to those people in advance if that is possible."
Wall adds that it's up to the property owners to report the damage to BC Assessment.
"We won't be contacting people we just simply don't have the resources to contact everybody. This is why we are asking people that may have damage to their properties to try and contact us."
Heavy rains and flooding damaged several vacation properties and homes in the area due to spring runoff.
Wall says people can either call the Assessment office, go online or visit their office in Kelowna before October 31st.
