10/23/2012

A 53 year old experienced mountain biker from Penticton has been identified as the man killed on a popular bike trail near Naramanta on Sunday.

The coroners service says Robert Allan Mason was on an expedition in the area known as Three Blind Mice when he fell.

Cyclists who he was riding with called for help immediately, but emergency personnel weren't able to resuscitate the man.

Mason was known around Penticton as a triathlete, Veterinary specialist, and avid cyclist.

The Mason family has asked that all well wishes for the family be emailed to we.love.rob.mason@gmail.com

The incident was the second time in two months that a cyclist has been killed on the same trail.
